    Overview of the Maker Program Packages

  • Core Maker Package

    The core package includes:

    1. Links to the top 10 recommended kits to elicit making and inspire creativity (the kits we have chosen are industry leaders within the maker movement)
    2. Ready to print labels (with text and corresponding images) for each kit that can be used on bins (we also recommend which bins to purchase!)
    3. An entire list of consumable supplies and visual labels to place on drawers of a maker cart (we also recommend which cart to purchase!)
    4. 1 Maker Activity Card per kit and teacher tips based on real classroom experience
    5. 3 Maker Challenge Cards

    Premium Maker Package​

    Core Maker Package + more!

    In addition to all the elements of the Core Maker Package, the Premium Package also includes 7 Maker Challenge Cards that can be used with various kits (for a total of 10 Maker Challenge Cards). These Maker Challenges are problem and project based learning activities.

    Elite Maker Package​

    Premium Maker Package + more!

    In addition to all the materials of the Premium Maker Package, the Elite Package comes with fully created kits in bins with labels.

    Professional Development Educational Consultant


    This add-on can be applied to any package! SET’s experienced educational consultant will provide maker space related professional development for any number of teachers or administrators for a total of 8 hours. Our consultant will provide tailored guidance, expertise, tips, and strategies for engaging your students in maker related activities.

    Monthly Book Club Subscriptions​


    These packages can be added onto any of the above maker packages or purchased independently. The book selections and corresponding lessons are developed by a former media specialist turned educational technologist, consultant and maker extraordinaire!


    Option 1: Maker Values
    Being a successful maker requires many values and qualities that can sometimes be a challenge to inspire in our youngest students. With this package, receive a monthly picture book that focuses on teaching different character traits of makers and a supporting lesson plan. These books and lesson plans support the development of real-world values such as perseverance, creativity, and growth mindset.


    Option 2: Maker Challenges
    Books are a wonderful springboard for many teachable moments, conversations, and even maker challenges. With this package, receive a monthly picture book and a coordinated maker challenge (e.g. robotics, coding, design, engineering etc.). An easy way to bring both literature and making into your classroom!
